Ainsley Costello Releases Debut Album EXLESS – Empowerment, Self-Love, and Pop/Rock Anthems
Nashville, TN — Ainsley Costello releases her highly anticipated debut album, EXLESS, a bold collection of pop-rock anthems. EXLESS is a collection of empowering anthems that celebrate self-love, confidence, and chasing your dreams. It promises to resonate deeply with listeners of all ages, especially those seeking songs that break free from conventional themes of love and heartbreak, blending powerful messages of empowerment with infectious pop melodies and high-energy rock tones.
"I wanted EXLESS to be the album I didn’t hear growing up. I was so tired of only hearing songs about how sad it is if you’ve never been in a romantic relationship. I just wanted to flip that script. These songs are about honoring the phase of life you're in, knowing and trusting that love will find you, so in the meantime, why not have some fun by yourself or with your girlfriends?” says Ainsley.
EXLESS draws inspiration from the fierce energy of Paramore and the infectious pop hooks of Carly Rae Jepsen. The project features collaborations with some of the most influential independent pop-rock artists coming out of Nashville today, starting with EXLESS, the title track produced by Nickolas Wheeler of All-American Rejects and co-written with Nathan Dohse, former frontman of Fight the Quiet. Additional tracks include songs produced by Christian Harger (Patrick Droney, Caitlyn Smith), Sam Kayko (American Idol Top 12, Season 22), as well as Ryan Lau and Michael Mechling (The Band Camino).
"Once I wrote the title track, EXLESS, all the other themes of self-love, empowerment, and self-reflection just fell into place," says Ainsley “I knew this would be a collection of songs especially for the next generation of young women, in hopes of helping make them feel confident in their own skin.”
At just 21 years old, Ainsley Costello has already carved a remarkable path in the music industry. About Ainsley Costello:
Ainsley Costello embodies a rare fusion of raw talent and relentless ambition. At just 21 years old, she has been working toward a career in music for over half her life. With over 20 commercial single releases (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) and 200 shows across 20+ states, she has accomplished what many twice her age have. Ainsley began performing in school and community musical theater productions at the age of seven and has since taken extensive private lessons in piano, guitar, and vocal performance. Fueled by her passion and determination, she began taking classes at Berklee College of Music online at just 15 years old. After graduating from high school at 16 (during COVID), she continued her studies at Berklee and, in 2023, graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Music Business at the age of 19.
In February of 2020, just before COVID shut down the world, Ainsley and her family made the bold decision to relocate from Seattle to Nashville to help her pursue music professionally. In March of that year, she released her first collection of songs, which were ultimately overshadowed by the global effects of COVID. During the pandemic, Ainsley was forced to learn the art of pivoting. She met and collaborated with dozens of established Nashville songwriters, honing her craft through hundreds of virtual writing sessions. She has since built an impressive back catalog of over 250 songs.
In August of 2023, Ainsley made waves on the internet as the first artist on Wavlake (a Web3 and lightning-enabled streaming platform) to hit one million sats with her hit song “Cherry On Top.” Since then, she has forged strong connections with a worldwide community of music industry professionals and technology developers, all working to revolutionize the music industry with a new generation of mobile and progressive web applications. In less than a year on these non-traditional platforms, she quickly surpassed her earnings from nearly five years on traditional DSPs. She's not only championing this innovative approach to music distribution and revenue collection but also advocating for fellow artists to embrace this once-in-a-generation change.
